Safe Streets KC.org

 In a safe city the criminals live in fear not the citizens

Safe Streets endeavors to:

• Identify problematic crime and inadequate criminal

justice system performance levels.

• Educate the public about crime prevention strategies.

• Recognize citizens who have provided outstanding

public service toward crime reduction.

• Consult with organizations about best practices in

criminal justice administration and urban security.

• Create better criminal justice system policy by working

with public agencies and organizations.

• Fight indifference and promote pride in the city

Violence appears to be escalating.

Killings occur without reason,

as demonstrated by the murder of Robert Osborn, shot down “for fun” while riding his bicycle home from work.

Kansas City is NOT SAFE—not yet.
